I would like to share my first ever Sigma Makeup Brushes Haul. I bought the items last November 2012 during Sigma’s Black Friday Sale wherein they offered free shipping worldwide.
I know that a lot of Filipinas would love to know how much would it cost if one would order brushes straight from Sigma Beauty. I was one of them. One of my concerns is the custom tax fee I will have to pay to claim my package once it arrived in the Philippines. Shipping fee was also one of my concerns but when I learned that Sigma’s yearly Black Friday Sale offered free shipping worldwide. I grabbed the chance and immediately ordered the brushes I’ve been wanting for such a long time.
I am addicted to flat top brushes and I really really wanted to have the Sigma F80 for such a long time but when F88 was launched, I want both. Good thing they updated the Synthetic Essential Kit and included F88 in the set.
I was originally planning to get the Dry ‘n Shape but unfortunately, it got out of stock before I confirmed the payment of my order so I decided to get the Brush Cup Holder and L05 instead.
I love doing my eye makeup. That’s why I also included Eyes Kit in my order.
My Sigma Makeup Brushes Haul:
The package was placed inside this sturdy white box.
Below is the list of Sigma Makeup Brushes I ordered during the Black Friday Sale.
Sigma Beauty Brush Cup Holder:
The New Synthetic Essential Kit 10 Brushes:
L05 – Lip:
I also got a free gift from Sigma Beauty. Orders above $30 get a free gift.
The total amount I paid was $220.00 (Php 9,345.76). I paid my order via Paypal on November 24, 2012 MLA. On December 4, 2012 MLA, I got an email from Sigma that my order was already shipped. Then I got an email from US Postal Service on December 10, 2012 MLA regarding my shipping details. Finally, on December 21, 2012, my order arrived in the Philippines and I have to claim it at the Post Office.
I have no idea on how much tax fee I have to pay for my package. When me and my Mom got there, we were asked to talk to someone. He computed the taxes I have to pay and gave us the list, the total was Php 2,370.00. I was really shocked, I did not prepare that amount of money. I was expecting less than Php 1,500.00 for the custom tax but there, I have to pay Php 2,370.00 just to claim my package. I have no choice, so I had to get that amount of money and I just asked my Mom to go back to the Post Office and to pay for it since I still had to go to work. Unfortunately, my Mom left the hand written receipt and I was not able to take a picture of it.
If you are planning to purchase directly from Sigma Beauty, take into consideration the Custom Tax you have to pay. The computation was based on the total value of the package. They computed the 12% VAT and other stuff which I already forgot.
You may consider buying from Sigma’s authorized resellers. The items may be just a bit expensive and you might not get a free item even you purchased over $30 but the advantages are: 1.) cheaper / free shipping fee (depending on the reseller) 2.) you don’t have to pay custom tax fee.
I am not sure on which other countries custom tax fee is being implemented. If you are from the Philippines, you have to consider it.
So there you have it, my first ever Sigma Makeup Brushes Haul and info regarding the other stuff I had to pay. Hope this entry helps.
